A mockup of the “life simulation” Educational Game, created in the framework of Task 3 “Digital and educational tools” (Task leader: CERTH, Centre for Research and Technology Hellas), has just been developed.
The “life simulation” educational game is meant to increase the engagement of the family members in the dietary behaviour change process. It will be integrated in the SWITCHtoHEALTHY App. It is envisioned as a slow[1]paced mobile game where the family members will have to take care of a “Tamagotchi” digital character living in the App, choosing and preparing his daily meals.
The game will guide the player to choose appropriate foods and physical activity level and prepare suitable meals according to the personality and needs of the digital character. At the same time, it will provide feedback about the nutritional value of the player’s choices. The aim of the game is to engage the digital character in an overall healthier lifestyle.
The game prototype is expected to be ready in a few months. Its final version will be launched at the beginning of 2024.
